
Ian W. Flinn, MD, PhD
Hematologist/Oncologist

Dr. Flinn is a board-certified hematologist/medical oncologist, the former director of lymphoma research at Sarah Cannon and and founder of the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at TriStar Centennial. Dr. Flinn now serves as the Chief Scientific Officer for the Greco-Hainsworth research centers and the broader OneOncology research network. He has more than 30 years of experience treating lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
He is also active in hematology clinical trials and research, with the goal of bringing new therapies to his patients.
Prior to joining Sarah Cannon, Dr. Flinn led the lymphoma program at Johns Hopkins Medicine and held numerous leadership positions in clinical research.
His research has been published more than 200 times in scientific publications, including The New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Blood and The Lancet.
Dr. Flinn earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in clinical investigations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
