Dr. Pelster joined Sarah Cannon in 2021. She sees patients with gastrointestinal as well as head and neck malignancies at SCRI Oncology Partners in Nashville, TN. She also serves as associate director and co-chair of the executive committee for GI cancer research program for the SCRI network. She serves as the principal investigator for numerous clinical trials at SCRI Oncology Partners. Trials that she has been involved with have been published in New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and others.

Dr. Pelster received her Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University. She completed her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and her residency and Masters of Science in clinical investigation at Northwestern University.
